“The Reflections project emerged from a moment of introspection, where I pondered how our perception of ourselves differs from how others see us. While gazing into a mirror, I realized that the image I saw wasn’t the full picture—it was just one perspective, distinct from how others see me. This realization, much like the difference between a photograph and real-life connection, aligned with my journey of artistic reinvention. In that moment, Reflections felt like the perfect name to capture my philosophical evolution and new musical direction.”

A native of northeast Florida, Michael (Mike) A. Davis a.k.a. Reflections has been a constant participant in the area’s drum n bass scene for the past two decades as a DnB fan, deejay, music producer, and event promoter and producer. Currently he is the manager of the JaxDnB brand and acts as an ambassador for Drum and Bass throughout the city of Jacksonville and beyond.

After getting his first gigs spinning in the back room of the legendary Club 5, he was quickly adopted by the Revolution Productions crew and could be seen regularly at the drum n bass weekly event Protocol. Honing his skills and track selection, he went on to support some of the biggest names in drum n bass. As a music producer, 2025 brought about his first official label release on the Florida-based outfit Rolled Up Records.

His performing background and musical influences range from jazz and hip hop to hard rock, heavy metal, and alternative and indie rock. As a result his sets can span the range of styles from deep liquid to the dark and subliminal. He often draws the “B sides” of the popular releases and tends to seek out the more obscure tracks that you may not have heard before. It’s all about flow and building a vibe, whether that’s on the dance floor or in a studio mix. He is also the keyboardist in a Jacksonville-based metal band, and he enjoys woodworking and cooking delicious meals at home.

During his tenure as an event producer and promoter, Reflections has successfully curated many headliner events under the JaxDnB brand. Since 2020 he’s partnered with Invasive Ceremonies to help organize and host a series of well-received monthly drum n bass events. Additionally he began hosting his own monthly JaxDnB takeover at Myth Nightclub in 2022.
