The Monthly JaxDnB Terrace Takeover at Myth Nighclub

Join us on the first Friday of each month at Myth Nightclub as we take over the outdoor terrace for an evening of Drum n Bass music under the night sky. Each month we feature guest deejays from around Jacksonville and surrounding areas. One of our goals is to continuously grow the Jacksonville DnB family. We do this in part by inviting people to play at our events even if Drum n Bass isn’t their primary style of music to spin.

What to expect

You will find a good mix of new and returning guests as we strive to keep things fresh. Some of our frequent guest deejays include Basilisk, XMSN, IonZ, Pr!nts, VeraVera, Brian Bellas, and Sammy Salamanca. Other special guests have included the likes of Wyldlife, G-Shock, Nathan Bradley, DarciiDarka, Cypher, iLLSiC, Impression, Maestro Sko, The Manti, and Awesomus Prime.

In addition you will often find Rebeka K. with her easel and canvas creating thought-provoking paintings, as well as occasionally other artists like Phukheadz with their collection of custom pop culture inspired sculptures, and TC TenderTouch doing face and body painting.

A quick origin story

This monthly event began with an invitation from venue owner Jon Kinesis. He saw the growing demand for Drum n Bass music as well as our success with other events around town. We’ve known Jon for nearly twenty years, dating back to the Blue Room days and even earlier at places like Club 5.

Given the long history it didn’t take much convincing to accept his offer. What started as a three month test run turned into a solid recurring event that we now look forward to each month. It’s a great opportunity for us to expand our audience since Myth often draws in people who are looking for EDM in Jacksonville. We’ve had many people discover us for the first time at Myth, which led them to some of our other DnB events around Jacksonville.
