More About The Artists
Drum + Bass and Jungle featuring Circle K, Wes Reed, Reflections, XMSN
A fixture of the Jacksonville dance community for 25+ years, Wes Reed is the founder of the pioneering Therapy Sessions club night in 1998. Wes has performed throughout the East Coast and Midwest including the legendary club nights: Concrete Jungle NYC, Dieselboy’s Platinum in Philly and Brockout in Chicago. He has played headlining sets in Berlin and London. He’s opened for the likes of Andy C, dBridge, LTJ Bukem, Planet of the Drums, Blame, Bad Company, Klute, Sage, Alley Cat, Reid Speed, Teebee, Aphrodite, and A-Sides, to name a few.
Torque founder, promoter, resident DJ and designer, Kevin Harrell, aka Circle K, has been championing drum & bass for 20 years. As Torque’s original resident DJ, Circle K has mastered the art of warming up the crowd for some of the biggest names in d&b. With his long, smooth blends, quick cuts and seamless transitions from liquid to rollers to anthems and back, Circle K is a dj’s dj and crowd favorite—whether opening at Torque or headlining elsewhere.
A native of northeast Florida, Mike Davis a.k.a. Reflections (previously known as Teh Cynic) has been a constant participant in the area’s drum n bass scene for the past two decades as a music fan, a deejay, a promoter and an event producer. Currently he is the lead event producer and promoter behind the JaxDnB brand and acts as ambassador for Drum and Bass throughout the city of Jacksonville.
XMSN is one of many transplants from the Western U.S., having spent his early rave days in and around Denver, CO before making his way to Florida. Coming from a rock and punk music background as well as being a musician in a band, the allure of electronic music and rave culture was not far away. After a hiatus, the bug caught him again in 2013 and since that time, he’s continued to push himself, honing his DJ chops while networking and building a community around a love for the music.
House + Techno featuring TC Birden, The Strangelovers (Dr. Strangelove & EOWYN), and PamBam
TC Birden is a longtime Jacksonville resident and a steady purveyor of house music. His style and flow fit with nearly any type of vibe. A DJ true to his roots, you can often find TC spinning tunes at vinyl focused events like Wax-n-Whiskey.
The Strangelovers have a story all their own. From the early days of underground raves in Gainesville to playing electronic music on college radio, their music selection spans across genres including house, trance, techno, new wave, indie dance, and everything in between.
PamBam is quickly being recognized as one of Duval’s emerging talents. Her focus on techno and house music combined with her uncompromising ambition has landed her a spot among the most in-demand DJs in Jacksonville’s underground EDM community.
