This year in October our date happens to land on Friday the 13th! Get ready for the spooky vibes as we welcome a fresh face into the JaxDnB fold, Maestro Sko who currently resides in Fernandina Beach. You may know him for his dubstep and riddim productions and sets, now get ready to hear his take on the drum n bass genre. Plus guests D Rock and XMSN, with resident host Reflections. We will also be joined by painter Rebeka K who will be showcasing her artistic talents live, as well as Byron Brown who is the creator of The Phukheadz comic and polymer clay sculptures of which he has created over 6000.
Maestro Sko is a Jacksonville, FL based producer/DJ, known for his hard-hitting doubles and triples with energetic and fun performances. Sko has been privleged to perform for various artists including, Dirtysnatcha, Rated R, YDG, Codd Dubz, Megalodon, Riot Ten, kLL sMTH, VLCN, and Tronex. With his creative ability and talent behind the decks, you’ll definitely want to catch this set that’s sure to be an adrenaline rush.
Also joining us we welcome back two of our regular family members, XMSN and D Rock. Chris Kelly aka. XMSN is the founder of Invasive Ceremonies, an event that has its roots solidly in the underground and has been branching out to various venues around the city. He’s capable of bringing a variety of styles ranging from liquid to neuro, partly influenced from his time spent performing in a punk band. Dustin aka D Rock is no stranger to the dark and heavy side of drum n bass. Another of our favorites, his sets never disappoint as they’re sure to be full of tech and neuro vibes. You might be surprised to know that he also occasionally spins trance and techno. Of course there needs to be some light to balance the dark. We’re looking forward to another of his signature sets.
Rebeka K. is a Jacksonville based visual artist specializing in painting on various mediums. Watch her creations come to life as she draws inspiration from the music and the people surrounding her. Rebeka is a true shining light and her talents are a welcome addition to any event she is invited to. Together with friend and co-creator Sarah Taylor they founded Triple Seas Productions where they are known to collaborate on works of art, having set up shop at such events as Tipper & Friends and the Sam Binga Banga BBQ vol. 2.
Byron Brown is the creator and artist behind The Phukheadz. His mission and vision for the past eighteen years has been to connect artists and musicians worldwide through his unique style of sculpting which is based on an original comic that he created in the ’90s. Drawing inspiration from his comic’s characters called Phukheadz, he began creating polymer clay sculptures in their likeness and gifting them to close friends within the Jacksonville music scene. Since that time, the Loyal Order Of Phukheadz has grown to include thousands of individuals from music, movies, TV, professional wrestling, and many other walks of life. In addition to his “inductions” into the L.O.O.P., he is available for commissions of custom sculptures of your favorite TV, movie and cartoon characters, your pets, or even yourself!
